Finally...
The closet had a full washer and dryer in it...
The craft room/office is finally finished!! The new sewing machine is in place and although it is a full room, I think it is going to work great!
I thought I would take a few pictures to show you...
Here is BEFORE (well, way before, this is what it looked like before we moved in):
And here is today. About 2.5 years after we bought the house, I am finally happy with the craft room, for now anyways...

I did it!
Well, I officially taught my first lesson today.
The Astronomy/Meteorology crew learned about atmospheric pressure today and built their very own barometers!! One student said it was a buzzkill...gee, thanks...but that was because that certain individual could not figure out how to keep liquid in a straw - don't we all do this at McD's occasionally? Anyways, I got my first one out of the way, and now I can move on to bigger and better!
Also, off topic, I went to see Karl Mecklenburg (used to play for the Denver Broncos) speak at the Pavilion tonight. He talked about goal-setting, leadership, and being successful in life. It was very interesting and I am so glad I went!

oakley
This is Oakley...
Super funny story about his new boots. Jeff and I were in the Twin Cities before he had to head back to Benning and we stopped at a few of our favorite stores before he had to go. One of them, on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, had a whole selection of dog boots (which we have been searching for for a while!)...Jeff was determined to get a pair (quad??) and worked with the saleslady to find the perfect pair. Oakley finally got a set on and walked around the store in them for about 20 minutes...when I realized that the boots he was wearing were 90 DOLLARS!! Okay, I often don't even spend that on me...so for the dog?!?! We decided against them at the time and took them off. Poor O stood by the display and wouldn't budge...he WANTED those shoes! Poor thing...

the beginning
let's try this again...
the wedding website has been closed since Oct. 2008...and now I am going to try to find enough time to do this again! I am obsessed with reading blogs from all over so I am hoping that mine becomes something that others find helpful and want to read...
